Why I Quit and Canceled MCA

Why I Quit and Canceled MCA

I recently quit MCA (Motor Club of America)  Why did I quit MCA? In the next article I'm going to tell you why I quit MCA and whether it is a good idea if you quit too. Last year, I lost my job and I started googling ideas for online businesses on google and youtube. I came across several online businesses and the one that just kept popping up was MCA, Motor Club of America. So then I started to research MCA and googled and youtubed "MCA" and then "is MCA legit" and "is MCA a scam" and I came across a lot of videos of people saying that it was a scam only to find out in the video that they were part of it and that that was their hook to get you to watch their video.  Anyway I came across a video made by Demetris Gorham, a person I'm sure everyone has come across on the internet and the way he explained MCA, man made me feel like I could do it too.  Here he was this 18 year old kid making thousands of dollars with MCA and he broke it down on a level I could understand.  Well I jumped in and signed up under Demetris. Unlike what you've probably read, Demetris is not a bad guy, I'm not going to bash him at all but at one point I think he just overwhelmed with people signing up that he didn't anticipate all these people asking for help.  He would send me links and tips on how to start the business but unless that information is organized then it won't help you much.

Reasons Why I Quit MCA

So after a few months I did think about quitting MCA but I didn't do it. I just told myself to stick with it. I followed the steps to get your blogs ranked and all that but still no sales.  I considered my failure so far a learning experience and just rolled with the punches, studying, and learning as I went along.  A lot of people would email me and say they were interested but no one would sign up. I had a hard time closing the sale.  I also made a few youtube explaining how to get your youtube and google articles ranked higher but I quickly deleted them.  What I found myself doing was in fact hiding the fact that I was part of MCA. Why was I hiding the fact that I was part of MCA? Well, because in reality MCA seems a little "scammy" and I didn't want to be associated with it or have my friends and family know that I was part of it.  Although MCA does offer real services, the entire marketing for the company has been heavily tainted by people trying to get sales.  So if any of my friends or family would research it, they would be like "what the hell is this guy up to?" and I did not want that at all.  That was a main reason why I quit MCA, I just didn't want to be associated with that type of business even if it was legit.

What I Did After I Quit MCA

So after I quit MCA, I started looking around for other online businesses.  I found one with ABC Fundraising.  I figured since I coach and have a lot of coaches contacts, I could sell fundraising items to them such as chocolates and scratcher cards. Well, turns out I was right. I have made over $1,000 in profit over the last six months that I joined ABC fundraising and have sold over $3,000 in merchandise.  There is no commission that I get for getting other people to join ABC fundraising so there is no need to post  a link.  You can reseach it yourself if you'd like.  I also started my own website because again I love to coach and know a lot of teams and coaches all across the city of Los Angeles. I started lacitysports.com which is now the #1 sports news aggragate site on Los Angeles. Think of it as the Drudge Report but high school sports in Los Angeles.  Instead of people going to all these different websites for news, they come to mine and I link them up to over 6 websites covering high schools sports in Los Angeles.  As a coach, that was something I always wished existed and then I ended up creating it.  It is truly convenient for parents, athletes, coaches and scouts to have one site that has all the stories.  Recently, I sold my first advertisement to a company that is promoting a very handy app for high school sports and they signed a contract with me for the next three months. In other words, my website is paid for for the next 2 years with this one advertisement.  I also recently got approved for google ads and I put a couple of them on my site. So now anytime someone clicks a google ad on my site, I am getting paid!  Not bad for what I did after I quit MCA, huh.

Other Options other Than MCA

How did I go from MCA and selling stuff that I didn't know anything about to doing things I love? Let's be honest, you know nothing about roadside assistance or death benefits. What you do know about is something you love. And that's exactly what I did. I stopped looking to see what I could be and I just started being myself and doing what I love, writing about what I love and that is high school sports.  The thing that helped me the most was joining Wealthy Affiliate which is now my 3rd online business.  They show you and teach you how turn your hobbies and interests into content that can make you money online.  Whethere you're a stay at home mom that wants to share tips or a wall street broker that wants to tell his story, there are millions of people that want and will read your story and join you on your journey. I will leave my link to Wealthy Affiliate because to be honest I will get a commission if you sign up so I want to make sure you understand that. But it just makes sense to join and I hope you do.

Note: I will receive a commission from you joining Wealthy Affiliate Premium Service only, otherwise it is FREE to sign up.

High School Football

High School Football

So what state has the best High School Football? If you ask Texas, there is no competition.  If you ask California they will say that they have the best high school football in the nation because they are home to St. John Bosco Football. High School Football has grown in popularity all across the country.  People not only want to watch great high school football at their alma mater or local high school but they also want to see rising stars before they are stars.  High School Football in some cases, is even more popular than college football because people get the raw image and talent of an athlete.

High School Football National Championship

The powers that control high school football need to come together and creat a formula to pit together the best teams in the country.  A system needs to be created, much like this year's highly anticipated college football format, that will creat a high school football National Champion.  How cool, would it be to see a team from Texas go up against a team from California at Cowboy Stadium and the following year move the game to the Rose Bowl.  High School football needs this national attention!

The Future of High School Football

The future of high school football is very bright.  It won't be long before we are more familiar with players and programs from all across the nation.  We as a country love football more than any other sport.  We want more and more of it and high school football is the most purest form of the sport.  I will see you at your local high school football game this season, that;s for sure.
